The story begins with the famous station clock of the Swiss Federal Railways. In every federal railway station in Switzerland, every clock on the station will stop the second hand at 12 o'clock for 2 seconds every minute. The unique walking method is because the railway's clock system adjusts all railway clocks across the country to ensure that the clocks at each train station show the same time, thus not misleading passengers or delaying flights. This emphasis on time accuracy is the spirit of Swiss Federal Railways, which wants to provide the most accurate times and trains to passengers taking trains anytime and anywhere. The story is simple yet touching.
MONDAINE has always been the designated train clock supplier of the Swiss Federal Railways. Later, got With permission from the Swiss Federal Railways, they launched a variety of watches and home clocks based on the design of the "Swiss National Railways Clock". Later, MONDAINE put the design of the train clock stopping for 2 seconds into the watch series and created the MONDAINE Stop2go watch. The watch is inspired by the clock design of the Swiss Federal Railways and incorporates its 2-second stop per minute operation into the movement of the second hand of the watch. This movement mimics the operation of the SBB station clock, adding unique charm and character to the watch.

Mondaine Stop2go's design is inspired by the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) station clock. It inherits the classic design elements of the SBB station clock, including black railway tracks, red corrugated sugar second hand and simple white dial. The thick black lines are not only railway tracks, but also because wall clocks in train stations usually allow people to clearly see the time in different places and angles. The design’s emphasis on each scale makes its time easier to read. The red corrugated candy needle is inspired by a red mushroom-shaped wooden board waved by Swiss National Railways platform personnel to notify guests to board the train.

Why again?
If you only got to know MONDAINE in the past two years, you may be wondering why Stop2go disappeared for a while. It turns out that in 2020 , the supplier that produced key parts of Stop2go for MONDAINE unfortunately closed down, causing Stop2go to suddenly cease production in the market. Finally, more than two years later, in early 2023, I received good news about the upcoming production of Stop2go for the first time ! This time Stop2go was launched with a new movement, overcoming the weaknesses of past movements and returning with a better attitude.
The differences between the old and new versions
In addition to the improvement of the movement, the stability of the watch operation is higher. The time adjustment button of the new version of Stop2go adopts an embedded design. Compared with the old version of Stop2go, The embedded design makes the watch more symmetrical and there are no protruding time adjustment buttons. The new version of Stop2go watch has a more symmetrical appearance and is closer to a real Swiss train clock. Finally, the new version uses environmentally friendly material " vegan grape skin synthetic leather", which is more in line with the MONDAINE brand's carbon reduction goals. 
Now, the new version of MONDAINE Stop2go has launched three styles. They are the 41mm classic model (white dial and black leather strap), the steel strap model (white dial and steel-colored steel strap) and the newly launched black version (black dial and black leather strap) .
